Elidel cream 1% 15g (pimecrolimus)

Elidel (pimecrolimus) cream 1% is a prescription topical cream used to treat mild-to-moderate eczema (atopic dermatitis) by reducing inflammation and itching. Apply a thin layer to affected skin twice daily—once in the morning and once in the evening—rubbing it in gently. Stop using it once symptoms resolve or as directed by your doctor.

Preparation: Wash hands before application. Ensure skin is clean and dry.
Application: Apply a thin layer only to affected skin areas.
Areas: It can be used on the face, neck, and skin folds.
Post-Application: Wash hands after application unless treating hands.
Consistency: Use twice daily, allowing it to absorb completely.
Moisturizers: You can apply moisturizers after Elidel.
Precautions: Do not bathe, shower, or swim immediately after applying, as this can wash off the cream. Avoid using bandages or dressings to cover the treated area. 
Important Safety and Tips
Not for Long-Term Use: It is intended for short-term use, typically stopping when symptoms clear, and should not be used long-term.
Children: Safe for children 2 years of age and older.
Skin Protection: Avoid unnecessary sunlight or artificial UV light while using this cream.
Side Effects: Mild burning or stinging at the application site may occur, usually disappearing within a few days.
Alcohol Interaction: Some users experience facial flushing or skin irritation if they drink alcohol while using Elidel.
